The long walk to school is about to end for thousands of stranded Eastern Cape children.

Sixteen thousand Eastern Cape pupils are to be reintegrated into the scholar transport programme — only days after it was discovered that tens of thousands had been left in the lurch at the start of the 2021 school year.
