Fifteen people, including a four-month-old baby, have been left homeless after a fire ravaged their homes in an informal settlement in Missionvale on Friday.

Three shacks were destroyed, while a fourth was engulfed in smoke.

The fire is believed to have started in one shack and spread when the electricity came back on after the morning’s load-shedding.
